SONYA ANISE studied art and design at Central St Martins, London. Award-winning author and illustrator of the debut children's book MUMAGEDDON! And the Food Magician, Sonya is also an award-winning interior product designer, fine artist and photographer, following a sucessful career as a respected art director and graphic designer.

Born in Dublin to British parents, Sonya’s lived in many countries like England, Ireland, Spain, Australia, Costa Rica and Mexico, and enjoys exploring off the beaten track with her daughter Peony in search of colour & culture, and all things weird and wonderful. She’s also passionate about cooking (and eating, especially chocolate). Being an ocean lover, Sonya's currently on a small Balearic island with her dog Chai working on the next book in her MUMAGEDDON! series…
